Hand Painted Crosses

Purchase fair trade products from El Salvador and help artisans survive.

All these wood crosses and plaques are made by a Fair Trade Co operative in El Salvador, Latin America.The Co operative feeds out the orders to a number of artisans who are skilled in the painting and manufacture of the crosses. If the artisans cannot afford to buy the materials for the order, the co operative will lend them up to 50% of the value of the order. Once a week the finished articles are bought to the co operative where the quality is checked.

We stock a wide selection of religious bracelets, alos known as Holy Bracelets. These religious bracelets show a range of images of Jesus, Our Lady and popular Saints. Images include Our Lady of Lourdes, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady Immaculate, Miraculous Medal of our Lady, Infant of Prague, The Holy Family, St Joseph, St Theresa the Little Flower, My Guardian Angel, St Micahel, St Jude, Divine Mercy of Jesus.

Elasticated cord between each Saints image, allow the bracelets to fit most wrists.

Miraculous Medal Bracelets are also very popular and these are supplied in a range of styles and finishes.

We stock a wide range of Christian keyrings depicting different images of Jesus, Our Lady and Catholic Saints.

Our metal religious keyrings have a medal attached to them. We have St Christopher medals as St Christopher is the patron Saint of travellers. Often people will take a Saint Christopher keyring or St Christopher medal before they go on a long journey or go travelling in a gap year. Other keying designs include a Rosary Ring for saying a decade of the rosary, Miraculous Medal keyring, Guradian Angel medal keyring, St Michael medal keyring, Divine Mercy of Jesus medal keyring, First Holy Communion Medal Keyring and Saint Benedict Medal Keyring.

We stock wide range of hand painted wood pictures, from a fair Trade Co - operative in Latin America.All these religious wood plaques are manufactured by a fair trade co operative in Latin America. El alvaor is an impoverished country in Central America, still recovering from its destructive civil war.

The co opeartive feeds out the orders to the workers who are skilled in the manufacturing and painting of the wood plaques and wood crosses. If the workers cannot afford to buy the raw materials, the co opeartive will lend them up to half the value of the order.

Holy Communion Pyxes

Our range of Holy Communion pyxes are ideal for Priests and Eucharistic Ministers. Designed to carry about 10 small coomunion hosts, these are perfect for taking Holy Communion out into the community. Each box has a strong fixing mechanism and a plastic inner.

The Holy Communion pyxes are avaialble in a number of different subjects. Saint Benedict Pyx, Our Lady Immaculate Pyx, Pieta Pyx, Holy Spirit Pyx, Pax Pyx, Chalice Pyx and IHS Pyx.

The Miraculous Medal is also known as the medal of the Immaculate Conception, the design of which was originated by Saint Catherine Laboure following her vision of Our Lady.

The medal sgould be oval in shape, bearing the wording " O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee" these start at Our Lady's right hand, continue over her head, and end at her left hand. The range of 9ct gold Miraculous Medals are all hallmarked 9ct gold, and have a strong ring for which a chain can pass through

Our crucifixes and crosses are made by skilled Italian craftsmen, and are available in different styles and sizes. We call a crucifix a cross with the Corpus of Jesus Christ, whilst a cross is the cross only, without the Corpus of Jesus Christ.

Our brooches are perfect for the lapel of a jacket or coat. Also known as a Christian witness pin, these are a perfect way to show your Christian faith .

Our cross lapel brooches are available in a number of different sizes and styles. One of these is the cross of San Damiano, also known as the Franciscan Crucifix, and is a multi coloured crucifix, based upon a design on the Basilica roof at Assisi in Italy.

The fish emblem brooch, has a deep and fundamental significance to the Christian community. The fish was the earliest symbol used by Christian 2,000 years ago. Christ was also closely associated with the fishing community, chosing several fisherman to be his disciples, and become " fishers of men."

The dove lapel brooches are symbolic of the Holy Spirit, and it is in the Holy Spirit by which we receive God's grace. This dove brooch is particularly popular for those making their Confirmation.

Icon is the Greek word for image, and many of our Icons are made in Greece.

All the icons are made from wood and are either wall hanging or self standing.

Our Holy Family icon show Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and in the Christian tradition this is a very well known and popular image.

Many of the icons of Jesus Christ are known as Christ Pantocrator, or Christ the Teacher and show Christ holding an open book.

The images of Our Lady and the Child Jesus, with many depicting Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, are probably our most popular icon, perfect for hanging on a wall or standing on a mantlepiece.

The Holy Trinity icon is belived to have been painted by the Russian artist Rublev in the 15th century, and is often given as a house warming present to depict hospitality.

The icon of Christ's Last Supper, is a depiction of Christ's last meal with his 12 disciples. Often given as a gift for a First Holy Communion, this wood icon is designed to hang on the wall.

The St George icon, shows him defeating the dragon. St George was a soldier in the Roman army and is the patron St of England, and also many other countries, with Georgia named after him.

The Annunciation icon depicts the moment the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary saying that she would become the mother of Jesus, it was the moment Jesus became incarnate, Jesus becomes man.

The icon of the crucifixion depicts Christ's death on the cross on Good Friday. At the scene on the hill of Golgotha is Christ's mother, Mary and his 'favourite' disciple, John.
Holy Land Olive Wood

This range of olive wood products, are all manufactured by a family firm in the Holy Land. The olive wood tress have to grow for 150 years before they can be used as a raw material for the manufacture of these products. All these olive wood products are hand made , by skilled craftsmen, whose skills of working with wood have been passed down through the generations.

Particularly popular are the olive wood holding crosses, which are very smooth and tactile. These make a perfect gift, and are supplied on a card which has a number of well known and appropriate prayers. These are particularly popular as a First Holy Communion gift, Confirmation gift or school leavers gifts.

The olive wood statues of Our Lady, Holy Family and Christ are very simple, but effective in their design. These are very well finished and varnished, which allows the natural and beautiful pattern of the wood grain to show

Our range of St Benedict crucifixes are available in a variety of sizes and colours.

Olive wood croses from Jerusalem in the Holy Land are also availble, these are all made by hand by skilled workers. The natural wood grain design in the olive wood makes these crosses particularly attractive.
